Qustodio Parental Monitoring App

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Hutto ISD is offering a new mobile app that gives parents and guardians more visibility and control over their child’s digital lives on the devices we send home and that they use at school. This is made possible through our partnership with Linewize, the district’s web filter platform and online student safety and well-being monitor. The new app is called Qustodio. It is free to download and use.

What is Qustodio?   (signup at qustodio.com/my-school)

The app allows parents to:

  • Gain visibility and insights on how school devices are being used via summary data from our web filter, such as the most used websites and categories of websites used 

  • Receive expert advice on the biggest online safety topics like online bullying, screen time, and gaming

  • Pause the internet access on the school device based on criteria we’ve set up:

    • Outside of school hours

    • Ability to pause 24/7 when school is out of session (weekends and holiday breaks

 

How to get started: 

1. Visit qustodio.com/my-school
2. Create your account using the email address your school has on file. The email address
     you sign up with must match the email address in your student’s record in Skyward Family Access.
3. Get real-time visibility

*Parents have the ability to add up to two personal devices for free at the basic level, with discount upgrade options for those who are interested. The District will not see any data related to personal devices.
