Joshua Colvin to Lead Farley Middle School in 2024-25


MAY 9, 2024 – Hutto ISD proudly announces that Farley Middle School will retain a familiar face as the campus leader for the 2024-25 school year! Current Assistant Principal Joshua Colvin will continue his career on campus as Farley Middle School Principal.

 

I am absolutely thrilled and deeply honored to be appointed as the new principal of Farley Middle School,” said Colvin. “Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for this incredible opportunity to serve such a dynamic and vibrant community. I am genuinely excited about the journey ahead and am committed to continuing the outstanding work that has already been established here at Farley. Together, we will strive to foster an environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.”

 

Mr. Colvin has 16 years of experience in education, five of which as a campus administrator. Colvin first joined Hutto ISD in August of 2012. He has also previously served in Pflugerville ISD,  Cypress-Fairbanks ISD and Austin ISD. His classroom experience includes teaching Special Education and English. He also has a background in coaching baseball and football. He was named Teacher of the Year for Hutto ISD in 2015.

 

Mr. Colvin obtained his undergraduate degree from Huston-Tillotson University and his master’s in Educational Leadership from Concordia University in 2012.
