District Art Show

Hutto ISD's District Art Show was a vibrant celebration of creativity, with this year's theme drawing inspiration from the dynamic work of Jean-Michel Basquiat, a renowned contemporary artist. Basquiat's influence could be felt throughout the event, from student submissions to teacher-inspired pieces, showcasing a diverse array of artistic expression using ceramics, painting, sculpture and fibers.

Elementary, middle, and high school students poured their talents into their submissions, each piece highlighting their creativity and dedication. The show not only featured individual artworks but also fostered a sense of community through the community mural, where attendees of all ages could contribute to a work of art that will be later on display at Hutto City Hall.

The judging panel, comprised of Perry Savard, Katherine Purnell, Greg Ray and Felix Jaimes, members of the Hutto Arts and Entertainment Commission, recognized outstanding works across various categories. While we celebrate the collective artistic achievement of Hutto's students, we also recognize standout individuals. The coveted Best of Show awards were bestowed upon outstanding works from each educational level, celebrating excellence in creativity and craftsmanship. Additionally, teacher artwork was prominently featured, demonstrating the passion and talent of the educators who inspire Hutto's budding artists.
