HHS Students Benefit in Multiple Ways from Financial Aid Saturday Event
In partnership with the Austin Chamber of Commerce, Hutto High School hosted its annual Financial Aid Saturday event on October 13. More than 200 people attended as high school staff, college representatives and community members volunteered to help students and their families submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Hutto students won an area-wide competition hosted by the Austin Chamber of Commerce by having the largest number of registrations and attendance of local schools at Financial Aid Saturday. Students were given tickets to the ACL (Austin City Limits) music festival and the Formula 1 event to see Ludacris, Bruno Mars, and Britney Spears.
The high school will host another FAFSA Workshop on Thursday, November 8, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the HHS library for any students and families who were unable to attend the Saturday event. Our local Domino's is sponsoring and providing pizza.
