HHS Graduate Named Leo of the Year
Ty Carmona, a 2018 graduate of Hutto High School, recently was awarded International Leo of the Year by Lions Club International.
It is the highest honor a Leo can receive and is given to a Leo who displays outstanding leadership, superior contributions to the Leo Club, community, and school district, along with demonstrating high ethical standards and personal integrity. Out of over 175,000 Leos in the world, Ty was one of only 35 Leos to receive the award this year.
"Ty is very well deserving and this is the culmination of 2 years in the Leo Club and working with Orange Santa," said Melissa Hollingsworth, District 2-S3 Leo Advisor at Hutto High School. "I have thoroughly enjoyed working with him, and couldn't be more proud of his achievement."
The Leo Club objective is to provide the youth of the world with an opportunity for development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the local, national and international community. The Leo Club program has been an official program of Lions Club International since 1967.
