Hutto ISD Signs Future Teachers
On Friday, March 31, Hutto ISD held a “Signing Day,” offering Intent to Hire letters to seven Spring Student Teachers and one Fall Student Teacher. Hutto ISD will be offering one more Intent to Hire letter to a Spring Student Teacher that was away on Friday supporting students at an FCS competition. That means the District has signed nine future teachers who are ready for their own classrooms for the next school year!
This number is in addition to our seven residents who signed Intent to Hire letters with us in February.
The District has been fortunate to recruit and retain so many outstanding student teachers and residents this school year. More importantly, they have had the opportunity to experience the culture of Hippo Nation and learn about our district and campuses. They have also gained a great foundation in the importance of establishing relationships, our instructional expectations, and just “how we do things around here.”
Because of their experiences here and the leadership of our campus principals and cooperating teacher, they quickly decided Hutto was the place for them to start their teaching career, and they have committed to Hippo Nation!
We could not be more proud! We are excited to see how each one inspires excellence in academics, character, and community.
There has never been a better time to make a difference!
