Hutto ISD "Three-peats" as 2021 TAEA District of Distinction Award Winner

Hutto ISD "Three-peats" as 2021 TAEA District of Distinction Award Winner
For the third consecutive year, Hutto ISD has been named to an exclusive list of District of Distinction honorees by the Texas Art Education Association.

Hutto is one of only 40 districts out of more than 1,100 districts state-wide that were eligible to apply for the TAEA Visual Arts Award.

The TAEA Administration and Supervision Division recognizes districts with outstanding leadership in promoting the arts in their district and community. They award districts that are actively participating members in TAEA and beyond TAEA sponsored events.

"Your visual arts program met or exceeded the rigorous 14-point rubric. The rubric examines a district’s visual art program from participation in TAEA through membership, exhibitions, and contests to community engagement in the visual arts through field experiences, community service, and collaboration with other content areas," said Stacia Gower, TAEA Administration and Supervision Chair. "This year we adjusted the requirements to accommodate Covid 19 concerns and restrictions. We were impressed and proud of the level of participation in visual art learning experiences at all grade levels!"
