HHS Recognizes Record Number of AP Scholars
Hutto ISD recognized 57 AP Scholars from the 2017-18 school year at its August meeting of the Board of Trustees Thursday, August 10.
The record 57 students is an 18% increase over the previous year and include five National AP Scholars, which is more than previous years combined. Of the AP Scholars, 32 were members of the 2018 graduating class, 24 are members of the Class of 2019, and one represents the Class of 2020.
NATIONAL AP SCHOLAR (Granted to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams): Will Christian, Christopher Gordon, James Halmon, Juan Serna, Adam Wassilchalk.
AP SCHOLAR WITH DISTINCTION (Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams): Tyler Calhoun, Abigail Cervenka, Will Christian, Jason De Los Santos, Madelyn Fritz, Christopher Gordon, James Halmon, Trevor Hollister, Megan Lorfing, Lauren McMaster, Kathleen Myers, Dex Parra, Saryn Paulsen, Montgomery Raesz, Juan Serna, Eric Solis, Ismael Suarez, Zachary Thomsen, Adam Wassilchalk.
AP SCHOLAR WITH HONOR (Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams): Christopher Bulding, Cristino Concepcion, Ashton Corporon, Yasmina Cortes, Mykala Garton, Bailey Geitzenauer, Chase Griffin, Madison Gutierrez, Karissa Varner, Nicole Vasicek.
AP SCHOLAR (Granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams): Elington Aaron, Marc Benitez, Valerie Bolding, Skylar Cochran, Destiny Cox, Nayely Cruz, Cristina DeLeon, Cameron Ferguson, Grace Ford, Isabella Gallegos, Frederick Grimes, Tabitha Hale, Analise Jones, Daniel Kay, Danielle Kowalski, Sarah Lavine, Mara Manskie, Brendan Marrow, Jesse Martinez, Brady Nunn, Bryton O'Neal, Elise Peeples-Purser, Antonio Rios, Kevin Rosengren, Caleb Stratton, Jett Tipsword, Prisca Varner, Sofia Vega.
