District Names Dr. Robert Sormani as Assistant Superintendent of School Support
Hutto ISD has named Dr. Robert Sormani as its new Assistant Superintendent for School Support. He will officially start with the district Wednesday, November 8.
Dr. Robert Sormani has spent 18 years in education, most recently as Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Special Programs in Manor ISD. During his time in Manor ISD, he worked with a team to create a district-wide approach for early literacy, mentored several principals, and facilitated a collaborative approach to creating district-wide assessments. His professional experiences include serving as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction in Manor ISD; as a middle school principal for almost nine years in Round Rock ISD; three years as an assistant principal in Round Rock and Austin; and five years teaching US History at Dobie Middle School in Austin ISD.

"From my previous time spent working with Dr. Sormani, I know he brings a wealth of knowledge and will support our principals in every possible way. He is extremely personable, and our principals and other staff will really enjoy working with him. Dr. Sormani will bring great ideas and great leadership to Hutto ISD."
Dr. Sormani is a three time degree earner from the University of Texas at Austin, receiving a Doctoral Degree in Educational Administration in 2016, a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration in 2006 and a Bachelor's Degree in English with a minor in History in 1997. He holds teaching certificates for Secondary History and ELA and holds a Superintendency Certificate.
Dr. Sormani is married to Diana Sormani, and together they have three children. One daughter is currently an NFL Cheerleader for the Houston Texans while she attends the University of Houston, and their younger daughter and son attend public schools. Diana and Robert are avid runners, enjoy traveling and are always up for a new adventure. While Dr. Sormani is a life long Texan hailing from the Houston area, Diana grew up on US Air Force bases in Europe.
