Cara Malone will join Hutto ISD as Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. She comes to HISD after serving as Assistant Superintendent of Organizational Management at Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD; Deputy Superintendent of Alamogordo Public Schools, and Assistant Superintendent of Teaching, Learning and Human Resources at Lake Worth ISD.
Malone began her administrative career at Clovis Municipal Schools in Clovis, NM, where she served as instructional coach/assistant principal of Clovis High School and Principal of Ranchvale Elementary prior to moving back to Texas to serve as Curriculum Director at Clifton ISD.
She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree and will complete her doctorate from Texas A&M Commerce in December. Mrs. Malone and her husband Buck have four grown children.
“I am delighted to join Hutto ISD, to relocate to the area, and to lead the Human Resources Department,” said Malone. “I believe in elevating staff to become their very best selves, so they can help students become their very best selves! I look forward to meeting you, working with you, and serving you!”
