Hutto Education Foundation names Lizzy Samples as new Director
Elizabeth “Lizzy” Samples has been named the new Director of the Hutto Education Foundation (HEF) and Community Education, the organization that provides teacher and staff grants, as well as student scholarships, through community partnerships and relationship-based fundraising.
“We are thrilled to have Lizzy join our HEF team and begin sharing her passion to enhance the quality of education for our students, teachers and HISD staff,” said HEF Board President Terrie Doggett. “The interview committee was so encouraged by her enthusiasm and commitment to move the organization to a new level.”
Mrs. Samples joins Hutto ISD after a number of years in the private sector, where she has helped lead three successful companies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma, with an emphasis in Acting and Directing. In her professional career, she has been a member of ABoR (Austin Board Of Realtors), BNI (Business Networking International), WC Realtors (Williamson County Association of REALTORS), and a Keller Williams Affiliate & Sponsor.
“In my experience, I have learned that in all things you do, you must have purpose and passion. Helping my community grow is my purpose, and education is my passion,” said Mrs. Samples. “Working with our ISD educators and staff, I see what they have accomplished and where they are going, and I am excited to join the Hutto ISD family.”
While new to the Hutto ISD staff family, Mrs. Samples is not new to Hutto ISD. She and her husband, Casey, have resided in Hutto for four years along with their two sons. She has been a PTA member and volunteer at Howard Norman Elementary, where her oldest son attends.
“I am very excited to have Lizzy join our team,” said Todd Robison, Hutto ISD Director of Communication and Community Relations. “She brings a creativity that will propel HEF forward, a background of networking that will take us new places, and a sense of professionalism that will represent Hippo Nation at all times.”
