NOTICE

Hutto Independent School District is applying for federal grants for the 2026–27 school year. In accordance with federal requirements, the district is providing notice of these applications and inviting community members, parents, students, and staff to submit comments before funds are formally accepted and allocated.


FEDERAL GRANTS BEING APPLIED FOR:

ESSA — Title I, II, III & IV | Every Student Succeeds Act
Supports academic achievement for all students, with a focus on students from low-income families, English learners, and professional development for educators.

IDEA — Special Education | Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
Funds programs and services for students with disabilities, ensuring access to a free, appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment.

Perkins V | Carl D. Perkins Career & Technical Education Act
Strengthens Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to prepare students for postsecondary education and high-skill, high-wage careers.

McKinney-Vento | Homeless Education Assistance
Ensures students experiencing homelessness have equal access to education, including immediate enrollment, transportation, and support services.

Federal law requires that Hutto ISD provide an opportunity for public comment before these grants are finalized. Community members, parents, students, educators, and stakeholders are encouraged to share feedback on how these funds should be used to best serve Hutto ISD students and families.

You may submit written comments, questions, or input regarding any of the federal programs listed above. All comments will be reviewed by district leadership and considered in the planning process.
