How to Apply for Prekindergarten

2023-2024 New Student Enrollment is available online!

Tuition based Pre-K Enrollment for 2023-2024 is CLOSED. We are continuing to accept QUALIFIED Pre-K students only.

2024-2025 New & Returning Student Enrollment begins April 1st!

Pre-K students must be 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2024.

Please complete the Returning Student Enrollment if your student is currently enrolled in Hutto ISD's ECSE programs, or receiving walk-in services.

Paid Prekindergarten Enrollment for 2024-2025 is now CLOSED.

Times of Instruction:
Full Day: 7:30 a.m. - 2:55 p.m.
Note: There are no half-day programs available and we do not offer a Pre-K 3 program in Hutto ISD.

If you are new to Hutto ISD and do not have a Family Access account, click here. You will receive your account information within 24 hours. If you do not receive an email with your account information, please check your junk/spam folder. If the email is not in that folder, send an email to skyward@huttoisd.net.

Once you have your account OR if you already have a Family Access account and have a Pre-K student to register, the New Student Online Enrollment is available as a tab in your current Skyward Family Access account. If you do not see a link on the left-hand side that says New Student Online Enrollment, please email skyward@huttoisd.netClick here to log into your Family Access. 

Registration cannot be processed until all required documents are received and immunization records approved. You will be able to upload all documents in Step 4 of the New Student Online Enrollment process. The following documents are required:

  1. Documentation of Student Identity
    Under age 11: a certified copy of the birth certificate is required per Code of Criminal Procedures, Article 63.019. If you are unable to produce a certified copy of the birth certificate within 30 days from enrollment, or up to 90 days from enrollment for a child not born in the United States you must provide one of the examples from the over age 11 list and a signed note explaining why you are unable to produce a certified copy of the birth certificate.
  2. Proof of Immunization: Immunization Requirements
  3. Parent/Guardian Driver’s License
  4. Proof of Residence. Please provide at least one of the following:
    1. Current utility bill (water, electricity, gas, or sewer)
    2. Current lease
    3. Current mortgage statement
    4. If you are living with someone and not on a lease, please provide a signed letter along with an acceptable Proof of Residence example from above in their name and a copy of their photo ID.
  5. State-Mandated No Cost, Full Day program – supporting documentation as requested – please click here for specifics
  6. Student Social Security Card (if applicable)
  7. Last report card, test scores, unofficial transcript, special program documentation (if applicable)
  8. Withdrawal form from the previous school district (if applicable)

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email from PreK@huttoisd.net within 3 business days confirming your child's acceptance or requesting additional documentation. 

Those not able to complete online enrollment (ie. do not have access to a computer or need translation assistance), may attend an Early Prekindergarten Enrollment Assistance Event at the Hutto ISD Central Administration Office, 200 College St:

  • Wednesday, April 17, 2024, 8am - 11am
  • Tuesday, May 14, 2024, 5pm - 7pm

If you are able to complete your enrollment online, you do not need to attend the in-person events.
