Families can review Texas school immunization requirements, exemption information, helpful vaccine resources and where to send updated shot records for Hutto ISD students.
Hutto ISD follows immunization requirements established by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
These requirements are set by the State of Texas. Families should review current state requirements before enrollment and at each grade-level transition.
2026-2027 Back-to-School Reminder
In preparation for the 2025-2026 school year, families are reminded to review required vaccines before the first day of school.
All students must be cleared through the school health office for compliance with state immunization requirements for school children. Some 30-day provisional enrollment may apply, but only if specific requirements are met.
Send Updated Shot Records
Students who have already registered and are delinquent on required vaccines must obtain needed vaccines and be cleared by the school health office prior to starting classes.

Please be sure to specify your student’s campus when emailing records.
Verified Immunization Records
Texas State Law and Board Policy require all required immunizations to be physician or Health Department verified.
The month, date and year for each shot must be indicated on the student’s immunization record.
Exemptions
For children needing medical exemptions from immunization requirements, a written statement by the physician must be submitted at the time of registration.
For children receiving an exemption for reasons of conscience, an original notarized Texas Department of Health affidavit must be provided to the health office.
No other forms or reproductions will be allowed.
Flu Vaccinations
Hutto ISD provides opportunities for staff to receive flu vaccines each year in the fall at no cost.
