Pre-K Curriculum

Pre-K teachers in Hutto ISD utilize a research-based curriculum Frog Street that supports the development of essential early literacy and numeracy skills aligned with the Texas Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines. Our Pre-K environment is intentionally designed to meet the individual needs of young learners by providing engaging, play-based instructional activities that foster growth across all developmental areas. Explore our Frog Street Pre-K curriculum with a virtual tour.

Teachers continuously monitor and assess student learning to provide sequential, developmentally appropriate instruction that supports each child’s individual progress. This ongoing assessment ensures that every student receives the guidance and support needed to grow at their own pace. For more detailed information on our learning centers, please click here for information in English and/or click here for information in Spanish.

Learning centers are a vital component of our Pre-K classrooms. These centers offer hands-on opportunities for exploration, creativity, and problem-solving, while also promoting social skills such as responsibility, following directions, sharing materials, and communicating needs. Each center integrates reading, writing, and vocabulary experiences connected to current instructional themes, ensuring that play and learning work hand-in-hand.

Our goal is to create a warm, supportive, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive, develop a love for learning, and build the foundational skills needed for future academic success.

Your teacher will provide you with more detailed information on the class schedule and other information you will need once school gets started.
