The Dual Language Enrichment Model

Two-Way Dual Language Program (DALE Program/Programa DALE) supports biliteracy for “two language” groups of students, native Spanish speakers and native English speakers. In this program, students are offered the opportunity to learn to read, write and speak in both English and Spanish. Beginning as early as kindergarten, students will develop oral and cognitive academic language while mastering grade level knowledge and skills in the content areas. The composition of the classroom is at least 1/3 of the students are native English or native Spanish speakers.
