The district officially recognizes Veterans Day this year on Thursday, November 10 as Friday is a student/staff holiday. For 19 years, on the Friday prior to Veterans Day, Hutto ISD has hosted the Veterans Day Flyover. This year, with forecasted inclement weather, the event moved to Thursday, Nov. 10. Under the leadership of Paul Lister, Hutto ISD celebrates our brave men and women who protect our country by bringing history to life with a city and district wide program for our students, Veterans and the community. We are grateful to the pilots and crews who donate their time. That day the sky will be filled with a dozen vintage WWII Planes flying in formation with Honor Flight and Wounded Warrior passengers. They will begin their flight over Hutto High School at 2:15 p.m. and circle three times over each Hutto ISD school before culminating in a Missing Man Formation as Taps Plays.
