Miss Stephanie Hernandez

MsHernandez is a passionate educator that enjoys building strong personal relationships to facilitate student success. She believes that children must feel safe, accepted, and loved in order to thrive in any learning environment. Her formal teaching began in Indianapolis after joining Teach for America as a Social Studies and History teacher. She earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from Marian University and later moved to China, where she gained extensive experience teaching the international baccalaureate Primary Years Program. Miss Stephanie encourages her students to explore the world with an open-mind and sense of adventure as she partners with parents in nurturing the child's mind, body, and soul. MsHernandez is very thankful to have been able to join Cottonwood Creek Elementary and Hutto ISD because of their wonderful mission and vision. One of her favorite things is teaching Dual Language and ccelebrating diversity! Her story begins in Southern California, where she was born to a Guatemalan mother and a Mexican father that courageously migrated to the United States for a more promising life. She now enjoys teaching, singing, and dancing for fun!
