Graduation Information

        Congratulations to the Class of 2022! 

        This following information will help make this experience smooth and memorable. Please read through this information thoroughly.

        Parking and Shuttle Services

        Parking
        Parking for graduation will be available at Hutto Memorial Stadium. Handicap parking spaces are available near the building. Parking will fill up fast, so please plan accordingly. Drop-offs will be available for anyone with limited mobility at the main entrance of the stadium. Additional parking will be available in the southwest area of the high school and at Nadine Johnson Elementary School.

        Please reference the map below for parking lot locations. We are advising anyone interested in attending the graduation to carpool if possible.

        Shuttle Services
        The district will provide shuttle services to and from the graduation ceremony beginning at 6:15 p.m. Shuttle pick-ups will be located at Ray Elementary School (RES) and Farley Middle School (FMS). Shuttles will drop passengers off on the home and visitor sides of the stadium.

        Air-conditioned buses will begin loading passengers at the entrance of RES and FMS starting at 6:15 p.m. Shuttles will continue every 15 minutes until the event begins. They will resume immediately following the commencement ceremony and will run continuously for an hour after the ceremony is complete.

        Entering Hutto Memorial Stadium

        There are two entrances into Hutto Memorial Stadium. Locations are the Home Entrance (West) and Visitor Entrance (East). Seating is first come, first served. Please plan to arrive early for your preferred seating area.

        Tickets
        Tickets are not required for the 2022 graduation ceremony.

        Graduates will be seated alphabetically
        When entering the stadium, please plan accordingly, as there is no access from the home side to the visitor side, or vice versa.

        • Students with last names A - K will be seated on the home side (west) of the field.
        • Students with last names L - Z will be seated on the visitor side (east) of the field.

        Post-Event Celebration

        Field Access
        Immediately following the ceremony and fireworks display, family members and guests will be allowed to reunite with graduates on the field and track area. 

        Graduates and guests must depart the stadium by 11 p.m. or as indicated by stadium staff. No prohibited items (see list below) will be allowed on the field. Additionally, guests must wear appropriate footwear to be allowed on the turf. Event security will deny field access to anyone wearing heels, or other footwear that will damage the turf.

        Additional Important Information

        Security
        In an effort to enhance safety and security, Hutto Memorial Stadium will implement the following guidelines. Event staff and security will be located at each entrance of the stadium.

        Prohibited Items (Including, and not limited to):

        • Weapons (knives, guns, pepper spray, fireworks, etc.)
        • Noisemakers (air horns, whistles, rattlers, cowbells, thunder sticks and any other item that could distract others)
        • Banners, flags and/or signs
        • Balloons
        • Coolers
        • Outside food and beverages
        • Tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks
        • Umbrellas

        Seating

        • Guests will not be allowed to save seats. Please wait until your entire group is present before proceeding to sit down.
        • Event staff will be available to assist with finding seats as needed.
        • Sitting or standing along the fence line or in the aisles is not permitted.
        • Stadium seats and cushions are allowed into the stadium.
        • Wheelchair accessible and limited mobility seating areas are available on the main concourse of both the home and visitor sides of the stadium. Additional wheelchair seating is available on the reserve deck located on the home side bleachers, which is accessible by an elevator.
        • Wheelchair and limited mobility seating is limited, so please arrive early should someone in your party require special accommodations.

        Graduation Fireworks Celebration
        There will be a short fireworks display presented by Hutto ISD to conclude the graduation ceremony. 

        Concessions
        The venue’s concession stands will not be open for this event. However, water stations will be available throughout the stadium.

        Smoking
        There is NO smoking on any Hutto ISD property, including the use of electronic cigarettes, vapes and vape pens.

        Strollers and Baby Carriers
        Strollers and baby carriers are allowed in the stadium; however, they are not permitted within the seating areas.

        First Aid
        See an Event Staff member at Hutto Memorial Stadium or a Security representative for additional assistance.

        Live Video Streaming
        Live video streaming will be available by visiting hipponation.org/Graduation

        Photography and Video

        • Photography and video are permitted during the ceremony. Please note all camera bags will be subject to search.
        • Tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks are not permitted
        • Remember to charge all batteries before coming to the ceremony, as there will be no place to plug in chargers.

        Cell Phones
        We ask that cell phones be kept in silent or vibrate mode during the ceremony as they can be very distracting.

        Pets
        No pets are allowed in the stadium. Service animals specially trained to aid a person with a disability are welcome.

        Rain Out Plan

        Should the district make a decision to postpone graduation as originally scheduled, the event will be held on Friday, May 27 at 8 p.m. If further cancellations or postponements affect this back-up plan, decisions may be made for Saturday.

        The district will monitor real-time weather, utilize weather detection tools, and consult with local emergency management partners up to and during the event to make decisions and to keep graduates and attendees safe. As a general rule, UIL weather protocols for outdoor extracurricular activities will be followed. 

      Dress Code

      • Graduation Dress Code
        Graduates should wear dress clothes fitting for a formal ceremony. Some suggestions include dress pants, a dress, or skirt, along with dress shoes. To prevent damage to the turf, high heels will not be allowed on the field. Wedges will be allowed.

        Graduates should not bring any personal items to graduation (i.e. purses, bags). Security will not be provided for personal items left in the graduates' waiting room.

        Graduation Cap Decoration
        Students are allowed to decorate their graduation caps. Cap decoration must be school-appropriate and not have anything considered indecent, profane, or represent anything not allowed on campus. We encourage students to secure their caps with hairpins, if necessary.
