Hey there! My name is Addison McCombs and I am the Solid Roots teacher at Ray Elementary. Before coming to Ray, I taught in Des Moines, Iowa for two years as a Special Education Behavior teacher. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2017 with a degree in Elementary Education k-6 and am certified in the state of Texas Special Education and Elementary Education. I love helping students learn how to manage their behaviors and learn new strategies to help them be successful in school, at home, and in their community. 

I just moved to Texas this summer after spending my whole life in Iowa, but so far I am loving every minute..even the heat and strange critters! I have two dogs, Bella and Taylor, and a cat, Kitty, at home. I also have two horses, Smoke and Quincy, who will be coming this winter after my boyfriend and I get our new house "horse" ready.
