I’ve been living in central Texas my whole life. I was born in Austin and raised in Bastrop. I’m married and have a 14-year-old daughter (in 9th grade) and 11-year-old son (in 6th grade). We currently live in Jarrell, but are interested in moving to Hutto. Last year I taught 8th Grade Math in Killeen. Before getting into teaching I was a Day Trader (stock market) for nine years. I graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a B.S. in Psychology (minor in Anthropology) and M.A. in Political Science (minor in Philosophy).
I believe teaching math is only part or my role as a teacher. It is also my responsibility to be a positive role model and caregiver for my students. My approach is to have an open-mind, to be understanding, and to have empathy. I will always strive to provide a safe, consistent, and structured classroom environment for my students.
