My name is Jill Christianson.  I am a proud graduate of Texas A&M University. I have taught in Georgetown ISD and Manor ISD and I am so excited to be in Hutto at NJES. My passion is teaching students to read and to be life long learners. I love to read and cannot imagine life without books. I hope your student leaves my class at the end of the year feeling successful when reading to themselves or to others.

I have been married to my husband, Dale, for 26 years. We live in Hutto and we have two wonderful children. Lucas is 22 and attends Texas State in San Marcos. Our daughter, Chandler is 25 and lives and works in Round Rock. She graduated from Texas A&M  - Corpus Christi with a degree in business management. We have 2 dogs (papillions) Lolo and Piper. Lolo is a proud survivor of a coyote attack 2 years ago. My husband and I love to travel and have been to Nicaragua 5 times on vacation. We travel during the school year on the weekends to various locations in our travel trailer with our 2 dogs. I love to read and run. I have competed in 3 half marathons. In the fall, yoiu can find me in front of the television watching college football. I love the Aggies and the University of Alabama. I was born in Alabama so I "Roll Tide" but am loyal to my Aggies when they play each other. You can find me wearing maroon or crimson red on the weekends. 

I am so excited to teach first grade this year. I know your student and I are going to have so much fun learning together.
