Welcome to Music! I´m Ms. Nichols and I am so excited for another year at Nadine Johnson Elementary! I received my Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Texas El Paso and my Masters of Music Education from the University of North Texas. This will be my 12th year teaching music and have loved every minute of bringing music into the lives of thousands of children. I have 5 amazing kids and was also blessed with 3 bonus kiddos courtesy of my fiance. If my house wasn´t noisy enough, I also have 3 corgis, 11 cats, 1 guinea pig, and a Chinchilla named Chico, my life is certainly never dull! I predominantly use the Kodaly method in my classroom, but don´t be surprised by the mix of Orff, Dalcroze, Gordon, and just having FUN!! I absolutely love my job and will continue to build the music program at Nadine Johnson to new levels and level up! I believe all kids are musical and it is my job to tap into those hidden talents. We are BETTER TOGETHER!
