My Favorites

I love to be outdoors! I enjoy hiking, skiing, and exploring. Spending time with my family is my favorite thing to do!

  • Parents, Students, and Families -

I wanted to give you a huge shot out for being flexible, working hard to complete assignments, and doing it all with care, concern, and love for one another! I miss you all so much!

  • Snack time at NJES
We have a scheduled snack time every day. Students may bring a “simple” snack from home. Snacks must be easy to consume and require little to zero clean up. Please do not send a snack that requires a spoon such as apple sauce, yogurt or pudding. Candy, cookies, and sweets will not be considered a snack and will be sent home. Your child’s teacher will notify you if there is a child with a peanut allergy in the class. If this is the case, any product containing peanuts or peanut butter will not be allowed in the classroom. Students may keep nonperishable, unopened snacks from lunch to have during snack time the next day. Suggestions for snacks are crackers, pretzels, granola bars, apples, bananas, grapes, raisins, dried fruit, celery, carrots, bagels or sugar free cereal such as Cheerios. Water is the only drink allowed in the classroom. Any other kind of drink, including clear flavored water, will be sent home or consumed at lunch. Snack time is a time for the students to replenish their energy. It is not an extension of recess. Students are expected to sit quietly at their desk and eat their snack as they work. Snack time is a privilege and not required by Hutto ISD. If the aforementioned guidelines are not met, this privilege may be removed temporarily or permanently at the teachers discretion.  Thank you so much for your attention to this matter in serving all of our students at NJES.
