Mrs. Gail Johnson

Mrs. Gail Johnson has nearly 20 years of experience as a champion for children. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she majored in Sociology with a concentration in Social Psychology and a minor in Social Work. She began her career providing drug, alcohol, STD, and pregnancy prevention services for at-risk youth in Alabama. When she moved to Texas, she continued her social services career as a child abuse investigator and in-home service provider for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (Child Protective Services). She later transitioned into public education in the Central Texas area and has dedicated her career in education to the area of special education. She is also a community college adjunct instructor. Mrs. Johnson holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Texas A&M University-Central Texas. She also holds a Master of Education degree in Special Education from Lamar University.
