Hi, my name is Melinda Sexton.  I am the Dyslexia teacher at Ray Elementary.   This is my 21st year in teaching.  I was born in Houston, Texas but have lived in the Austin area for 17 years.  I graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas with my Bachelor's degree and received my Masters from Concordia University.  I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters ages 15 and 10.  I began teaching in the Houston area as a Bilingual Resource teacher for 3 years.  I taught 13 years in Austin as a Bilingual Resource teacher and as a Reading Specialist.  I have always worked with small groups of kids and I enjoy being able to see the progress my students make in all of their academic areas.  This is my fifth year in Hutto and I have loved being a Hutto Hippo!
