The Basics

Hello! My name is Seneca Gonzalez and I am so excited to be a member of the NJES family and Hippo Nation.  I love integrating technology into the classroom when possible. You can expect your kiddo to complete work on a Chromebook  as well as the traditional paper pencil way.  When I'm not at school I love to spend time with my husband, my wonderful son, and my sweet baby girl.  We enjoy visiting our family, eating barbecue, and just spending time together.

 

My Childhood

I was born in Orange County, California.  However, my Dad was a Texan, born and raised, and moved us to Texas as soon as he could.  He was also a country boy and did not care for big city living. We actually lived on the Expo center grounds outside of Austin up until 5th grade.  I went to elementary school in Manor, but finished grade school in Holland, Texas. My Mom and older sister still live in this small town off of highway 95.

 

My Education

In December of 2003, I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University.   I have completed numerous hours of professional development that have contributed to my growth as a teacher.
