Reading Interventionist

Hello!

I'm Mia Hurtado, Reading Interventionist for grades K-5 at VHE.  After being a classroom teacher for 8 years, I discovered my true passion for teaching reading. This will be my 22nd year as a teacher.  I love learning, teaching and sharing ideas with others.  I strive to give students confidence in what they are capable of and assistance in motivating them as learners.  

I am originally from Waco, Texas, where I attended Baylor University.  I currently live in Georgetown with my wonderful husband, two beautiful children and one adorable puppy.
