DECEMBER 2018

I am pleased to be working with your child. Students in our program will use a new text- to- speech and dictionary assistive technology purchased through a Hutto ISD grant award.

This is my 24th year as a teacher in Texas, primarily serving students with reading difficulties and dyslexia. This is my 5th yr. at Nadine Johnson Elementary. Other campuses served are Howard Norman and Veterans' Hill. Last year, I served as UIL Spelling 4th grade coach for Nadine Johnson Elementary, with students selected for 3rd and 5th place in district.

To learn more about individual learning, I completed additional graduate studies in the Educational Diagnostician program, Midwestern State University, TX. I am currently a licensed educational diagnostician, certified academic language practitioner (CALP) and Wilson dyslexia practitioner (WDP).

Student additional learning support:

Your child can continue to log in at home on a computer, ipad, tablet or phone to access Lexia Core 5 for reading, vocabulary, comprehension and spelling practice.
