Ms. Becky Sigler
I was born and raised in New Braunfels, Texas and attended Texas State University in San Marcos, where I obtained my teaching degree. I have now been teaching in Hutto for the last nine years, this being my sixth year teaching 5th grade, and currently teaching Science and Social Studies. I am so grateful to have landed in Hutto ISD. I could not imagine a better district and community to work for and in!
Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns throughout the year. The best way to reach me is through Class Dojo or by email, firstname.lastname@example.org. Always check Class Dojo for important updates or homework assignments.
What we're up to right now:
Currently in Science, we are learning all about force and motion, including magnetism, gravity, and friction. We will be doing lots of hands-on investigations, and practicing a Claim-Evidence-Reasoning style of arguing and proving our data. In Social Studies, we are working on a European Explorers unit, where we will research and present an explorer to the class. We want to know why early Euopeans explored new lands, and how these explorers changed the environments they settled in. Then we will move on to the settling of the Thirteen Colonies.
