Mrs. Hampton

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Hampton

Welcome to Kindergarten!  My name is Crystal Hampton and I will be your child’s teacher this year. This is my 14th year of teaching, as well as my 14th year of teacher in Hutto ISD.  I have taught 12 years in kindergarten and 2 years in first grade. I am hoping to get to know you and your child over the course of this year, but first I would like to tell you a little about myself so you can feel comfortable entrusting me with your kindergartener.

I graduated from Round Rock High School in 1996 and started college with a major in Theatre Arts with the intention of teaching acting to children.  During the first four years out of high school I worked at a daycare teaching pre-k. Shortly after leaving the daycare I started working at State Farm Insurance. While working there I joined their Partners of Education program and became a mentor. During my second year of mentoring I realized that I missed working with children and started taking classes at Texas State University, changing my major from Theatre Arts to Elementary Education. During the 2006 spring semester I completed my Student Teaching at Nadine Johnson Elementary, in first grade. In May 2006 I graduated with honors from Texas State University.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Scott Hampton, and we have lived in the Hutto community for almost 14 years. We have a beautiful daughter, Kylie Grace, who just turned 10 on August 9. Kylie is in 5th grade here at Kerley Elemetarty. My husband and I are big Longhorn fans, especially during football season. We also enjoy attending Hutto football, volleyball and baseball games, GO HIPPOS!  When I am not cheering for the Horns and Hippos, I love watching Kylie compete in gymnastics, she is currently a level 7 gymnast at Capital Gymnastics.

I am so excited about this up coming year and the chance that I have to work with your child!
