Mrs. Kelly Seaman

Hi, there! Thank you so much for stopping by my teacher page. More than anything, I want you to know that the BEST way to get in contact with me is to email me at ! I love my job. I love my students, and I want to be as available as I can be to answer questions and support you as we share this school year together! Don't hesitate to reach out to me, and I will get back with you as soon as I can.

I knew I would be a teacher when I was sixteen years old. I was in Mr. Clark's Junior English class, and we read a book that forever changed my life: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. There are so many themes and lessons from this book, but the main lesson is that you can never really understand someone until you get in their shoes and walk around in them. I think this is why English is the best subject in the entire universe. In English class, you will learn a lot of skills; but mainly, I hope you learn that the stories of strangers have the power to impact your life, to give you greater empathy, to make you a better human. You will also learn that your words have power, and it's my job to help you hone your writing skills so you can share your story (and your own brand of genius).

Books are powerful. Words are powerful. We are going to have an awesome year.
