Mrs. Jennifer Hoffman

2019-20 School Year is here and I am so excited to be teaching Physical Education this year!  I have been a Hutto Hippo for 25 years, and have seen this sleepy little town grow into what it is today!  I love this community and take pride in being an educator at Hutto HS!

I am super excited to get these girls started and I look forward to sharing my knowledge about physical education and how to be healthy. Physical Education classes are designed to practice and develop skills in activities that will help a student maintain fitness throughout their life. Early in the fall, students’ fitness levels will be assessed in the following areas: cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, muscular strength, and muscular endurance.  From these assessments, we will develop a baseline in which we will use to set personal fitness goals. Students will be introduced to life-long activities designed to increase their likelihood of exercising in the future. We will explore fitness activities designed to improve all areas of fitness.  My goal is to help each young lady understand the benefits that regular exercise can provide for a person’s mental, physical, and social health.

My husband, Dean, and I have been married for 23 years and have 3 beautiful daughters: Shelby- a junior at Texas Tech, Kailey- a senior at Thrall High School, and Kinley - a 6th grader at Thrall Middle School.  We live in the country and enjoy horses, fishing, hunting, and family time!  We attend Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pflugerville where I have been a member my entire life!
