Greetings everyone and welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! Great things are in store for Hippo Nation this year as we commit to being "Better Together!" On that note, I have the privilege of working with the Class of 2022 during their sophomore year as they move closer to college and career. I will be the point of contact for matters concerning their discipline, attendance, scheduling, and any other questions or concerns you may have regarding your sophomore student and their time at Hutto High School. In addition, I am the campus Section 504 Coordinator; please reach out to me if you have any questions, needs, or concerns regarding these services.
I returned to Hutto High School in 2018 after serving as an assistant principal at Farley Middle School for three years. Prior to then, I taught English I and coached Girls' Basketball for our Lady Hippos at the High School. I moved to Hutto from my adopted hometown of Copperas Cove, Texas where the majority of my extended family currently resides. I attended Texas Tech University where I majored in Communication Studies, then received my Master's in Educational Leadership from UT Arlington a few years later. I am certified as an English and Speech teacher as well as an administrator in the great state of Texas. Prior to attending college, I served in the U.S. Coast Guard performing search and rescue and law enforcement in West Palm Beach, FL and Newport, OR. Growing up, I lived in seven different states and two different countries and attended four high schools in four years as I followed my father through his career in the U.S. Army, but am happy to have finally settled in Hutto, Texas!
My wife, Angie, also works at Hutto High School, and we have two children, Kade & Kaylianne. In my leisure, I enjoy spending time with my family, supporting our Hippos and my Red Raiders, following college football, camping, and hunting.
I look forward to working with you this year! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email or phone with any need. God bless & Go Hippos!!!
