I am proud to be an 11th generation Texan (there's a little Arkansas/Missouri, Tennessee, Irish, Spanish, and Scottish blood in me too, which explains a lot!)!

I was born on Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin, before it became an airport.  My dad was an Air Force Sergeant, so we moved around as I grew up.  I got to live in places like Bellevue Nebraska, San Antonio Texas, Kansas City Missouri (Belton), and my favorite...Talofofo Guam. Thankfully we landed back in Texas...I graduated from Georgetown High School in 1979.

My Mom was an RN and (along with my Dad) inspired me to do as much as I can to serve others! She put our family first which allowed my Dad to Serve in the Air Force as we moved around.  I'm extremely proud of my parents and wish they were still here, but thankful for all they taught me!

I am blessed to have attended and graduated from Concordia University @ Austin (Go Tornados!) the old campus in downtown Austin.  I learned from inspired professors!  My major is 4th-8th Elementary Education and my passion has been teaching 5th grade science!

My wife, Vera, and I have been married for 39 years.  Besides being patient, Vera is an engineer for the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality.  She assists Texas residents with water issues, which is keeping her very busy these days!

The biggest blessing of our lives is our son Josh!!   He graduated from Texas State University and works for a company that hires people to work here in Texas. We are lucky that his house is only 5 minutes away and we see him often as we can!! His fiance Kim (our daughter) and our grand-doggies Stella and Eli "Pumpkin Head" live with him too.

Vera and I travel as much and as often as we can!  We've traveled to many states within the US , with just a few states to go.  The last few years, we've been to Alaska and the Bahamas. A few summers ago, we flew to Hawaii and cruised to several of the Hawaiian Islands...another amazingly beautiful place!!!  We also like to travel all the way to Lake Buchanan and Lake Georgetown, which are our personal favorites!!

My Mom had my brother and I flashing the Longhorn sign before we walked...and we have bled orange since...Hook'em!!!  We will come back!  We also have many loved loved ones that choose to be Aggies, bless their hearts!

I am honored to be a part of the Cottonwood Creek Elementary family!  This is my 16th year in HISD and my seventh year @ the legendary CCE.

I look forward to working with you to ensure the success of your child!
