My name is Lisa Warring. I grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Early Childhood. This is my fifteenth year in education, fourteen of which have been in Hutto ISD as a pre-k teacher. I live with my husband, our infant daughter, and our 3 cats. My favorite colors are blue and green, I enjoy traveling and reading, and I collect stuffed animals, especially teddy bears.
My passion is teaching early childhood, because it is the foundation for future school success. Hutto ISD's pre-k program is well-rounded and teaches much more than just academic skills; there is a huge focus on social/emotional development, and it also includes fine arts and physical education. The best part is, children learn through play and hands-on experiences.
I firmly believe student success depends on parental involvement, so I ask that you maintain open contact with me – whether in person, on the phone, or through written communication, including our Remind text messaging system. Also, stay informed of what is happening at school by checking your child's folder daily and visting this page regularly for information about our class. Together, we can make your child's first year of school memorable!
