Registration for the 2026–2027 school year is now open. All students, new and returning, must complete online registration.

Attendance notifications will be sent via Skyward Family Access. Absence notes can be submitted through Skyward Family Access, by emailing the campus or by sending a paper note with your student.

• Emailed notes must come from the parent email address on file and include date(s) of absence, period(s) absent and student ID number.
• Paper notes must include date(s) of absence, period(s) absent, student ID number and parent signature.

School supply lists for each grade level can be found online. Students in grades 6–12 will receive information regarding school supplies from their teachers on the first day of school.

Students who have completed and been approved for enrollment from any middle school, Hutto 9th Grade Center or Hutto High School can pick up their Chromebook at any of the following times and locations:

• Farley Middle School 6th Grade Camp — July 29, 2026, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Hutto Middle School 6th Grade Camp — July 27, 2026, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Gus Almquist Middle School 6th Grade Camp — July 27, 2026, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Back to School Rally — July 30, 2026, 6–8 p.m. in the North Concession Stand.
• Hutto High School Performing Arts Center Foyer — July 31, 2026, 4–6 p.m.

Any Hutto ISD secondary student in grades 6–12 who still needs a Chromebook may attend whichever distribution event works best for their family, including the 6th Grade Camps at the middle schools.

If not picked up at one of these times, students will receive a Chromebook at school. Families are encouraged to pick up devices during the listed times to reduce interruptions after school starts.

The Hutto ISD Child Nutrition Department is committed to providing students with healthy, nutritious meals every school day.

Families are encouraged to complete the Free & Reduced-Price Meal Application online beginning July 15, 2026 through SchoolCafé.

Free breakfast for all students: All Hutto ISD students will receive free breakfast during the 2026–2027 school year. Reduced-price-eligible students will continue to receive breakfast at no charge and will also receive lunch at no charge for the 2026–2027 school year.

• Elementary lunch: $3.10
• Secondary lunch: $3.35
• Adult breakfast: $3.25
• Adult lunch: $4.40

SchoolCafé allows families to submit meal applications, make online meal payments, view account balances and purchases, set purchase restrictions, set up auto pay, set low balance alerts and view letters.

To add your student to SchoolCafé, you will need your student’s first and last name, date of birth and student ID number.

Families may also download the SchoolCafé Family Hub App to manage meals, make payments and check menus from a phone. Look for the purple icon to find the correct app.

Payment options: Families may make credit card payments online through SchoolCafé. Cash and checks are accepted at school cafeterias. Student meal balances automatically carry over from the previous school year.

Allergies and special diets: Complete required forms and return them to your campus nurse. Some forms require a healthcare provider’s signature before services or medication can be provided at school. Once received, the campus nurse will provide the necessary directives to the Child Nutrition Department.

Hutto ISD uses ParentSquare for school communication, including email, text and app notifications.

ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent using the preferred email address and phone number from the student information system.

Parents are encouraged to access their ParentSquare accounts, download the mobile app and update preferences for when and how they are notified and the language in which they send and receive messages.

The Texas Department of State Health Services requires all students to be cleared through the school health office for compliance with state immunization requirements for school children. Students who are delinquent on required vaccines must obtain needed vaccines and be cleared by the school health office prior to starting classes.

Shot records and student health records may be submitted to your campus nurse via email or in person beginning August 7. Nurses will also attend Meet the Teacher Nights.

Medications must be turned into the campus by a parent or guardian. Students are not allowed to bring medications to school, including prescription or over-the-counter medications. Medication administration authorization forms are available on the Health Services Forms page.

All private duty nurses must register with the school district, submit to a background check and complete fingerprint screening. Parents and guardians must complete a private duty nursing agreement form and submit all medical orders to the campus nurse.

Hutto ISD uses the My Ride K-12 routing system. If your child needs transportation, please create an account for My Ride K-12.

Hutto ISD follows the Standard Response Protocol. Families are encouraged to review safety terms with students and watch the district’s SRP video.

Emergency drills are performed multiple times throughout the year. In a true emergency, the district will notify parents via email and text.

Students and parents may use Anonymous Alerts to report suspicious activity, bullying or other student-related concerns to school administrators. For emergencies, call 911.

Students in grades 6–12 are required to wear student IDs. IDs will be issued after the start of school when photos are taken.

Students will need IDs to load buses, check out books in the library, pay for lunch in the cafeteria and use lunch privileges at the high school.
