More Than a Meal Application

Completing a free and reduced-price meal application may help eligible students receive meal benefits, but it can also support additional educational resources and services for schools and students.

Even if your child does not eat school meals regularly, families are encouraged to complete an application if they believe they may qualify.

What Families Need to Know

• Account creation: Families must create a SchoolCafé account to make online meal payments or submit meal applications.
• Student information: To link your student to your account, you will need the student’s first name, last name and date of birth.
• Meal applications: Online applications for free and reduced-price school meals are expected to be available beginning in July.
• Payment transition: Families cannot make payments in the previous system. Balances from the old system will be transferred to SchoolCafé.

Paper Applications

Families who prefer a paper copy of the application may pick one up at the Child Nutrition Services office.
