Participate by taking a Leadership Profile Questionnaire by June 2.

The goal of the Board of Trustees is to connect with outstanding educators to find the best Superintendent candidate for Hutto ISD. The Board will directly review all applications and identify desirable candidates for further review. To help identify a candidate with the right strengths and priorities, the Board is conducting a survey with the community to better understand what stakeholders want to see in and from Hutto ISD’s next leader. Stakeholders can provide input into the process through a Leadership Profile Questionnaire.

Because virtually all qualified candidates will currently be employed by a school district, it is standard practice for the identity of Superintendent candidates to not be made public, and this allows school districts seeking a Superintendent to attract a wider range of qualified candidates.

The Hutto ISD Board of Trustees is responsible for selecting and hiring the Superintendent for Hutto ISD. After desirable candidates are identified and interviewed, the Board will name a selected candidate as the lone finalist, and after 21 days, can formally hire the next Superintendent.

The position will be posted on the Hutto ISD website, marketed to appropriate education industry locations across the Internet, and delivered directly to candidates that fit Hutto ISD’s profile as developed with stakeholder input.

While the State of Texas requires some minimum requirements for all Superintendents, Hutto ISD Trustees will determine the minimum qualifications based on feedback it receives from stakeholders via the survey available.

While the board would like to have a new leader named by August 6, the priority is to have ample time for stakeholder input.
