Hutto ISD Board members are elected at large to serve staggered three-year terms. This page provides information about the Board election process and serves as an archive of the most recent Board election cycle. Information will be updated when the next Board election cycle begins.
How Board Elections Work
There are seven members of the Hutto ISD Board of Trustees. Trustees are elected at large, which means each trustee represents the entire school district rather than a single geographic area.
Elected At Large
Each trustee represents the entire Hutto ISD community.
Staggered Service
Board members serve three-year terms. Elections are held every year in May.
No Compensation
Each trustee is elected to serve without compensation.

Running for a Board Member Position
Individuals interested in running for a Board member position may pick up a printed packet of forms and instructional documents at the Central Administration building, located at 200 College Street. Updated filing documents will be posted when the next election cycle opens.
Central Administration
Candidate materials may be picked up at Hutto ISD Central Administration, 200 College Street, when candidate filing is open.
Candidate Packet Availability
The office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays. Candidates may also print packet information at home and return it upon filing.
2026 Election Candidates & Results
The following candidates appeared on the May 2, 2026 Hutto ISD Board of Trustees ballot. Felix Chavez and Dr. April Adams were elected to serve on the Board of Trustees.
