• Cute Caterpillars

     Welcome to Cute Caterpillars!

Toddler-hood is a very special time in a child's life. They are slowly becoming more and more independent while still having a need for strong connections with their caregivers. They are starting to become verbal as they begin to learn important self-help skills. They start practicing important social abilities and critical fine and gross motor skills. They are curious, lovable, busy, and most of all, adorable!

While in our class, your children will go from being babies, happy to play by themselves, to two year olds who are beginning to engage with their peers through interactive play and cooperative situations. This age is monumental with both cognitive and physical development! We work hard to follow a routine every day and focus on learning about our body parts, colors, letters, numbers, using table manners, healthy habits, and learning simple words in sign language. We also work on eliminating pacifiers, drinking from cups, eating from spoons, and learning to put on socks and shoes.  We highly encourage you to practice these routines at home to help keep things constant, consistency is key!

We are super excited to get to know you and your child throughout the year. Thank you for letting us in on this journey with you. If you have any questions or any concerns please feel free to contact us at any time, and again welcome to our class!
