DALE Application Information
Applications are open March 3 - March 29
NOTE: Students currently in the DALE Program do not need to re-apply.
Easy Steps to Apply:
1. Read Program Information
2. Attend a Parent Meeting
3. Apply On-Line
Hutto ISD is accepting applications for students interested in participating in a dual language program. Students must be in entering Kindergarten during the 2019-20 school year or kindergarten and first grade at Kerley Elementary to be eligible. Applications may be submitted on-line through March 29th . Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.
Part of the application process for parents interested in having their child participate in the program, is to attend at least one DALE Program parent informational meeting. Student applications will not be considered if the parent does not attend a meeting. Parents may attend any of the meetings listed below:
Tuesday, March 19, 2019 5:30pm-6:30pm Cottonwood Creek Elementary
Monday, March 25, 2019 5:30pm-6:00pm Veterans' Hill Elementary
Wedneday, April 3, 2019 5:30pm-6:30 pm Ray Elementary
If the number of applicants exceeds available space at the designated DALE campus, a lottery process will be used for the selection process. Siblings of students already in the DALE program have priority in program selection.
Ray Elementary, Cottonwood Creek Elementary, Kerley Elementary and Veterans’ Hill Elementary are DALE Program campuses. The designated campus is determined by the student’s address. Transportation will be provided for students accepted into the program who meet the transportation eligibility criteria.
Students accepted into the DALE program that have siblings wishing to attend the same campus, must submit the Hutto ISD transfer applications for those siblings. The transfer process is not automatic for siblings not in the DALE Program.
