Brad LaPlante-Head Football Coach and Athletic Director

In April 2018, Brad LaPlante was named Head Football Coach and District Athletic Director.  LaPlante had served since 2014 as Hutto High School Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator.  This is LaPlante’s 3rd head coaching stint. His 2 prior head coaching positions included stops at Northwest Mississippi CC and Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC). Entering the 2019 season, LaPlante's overall head coaching record is 85-27. 

LaPlante spent seven years as the head coach at RCTC, posting a 64-16 record with four state championships and one Division III national championship.  He had the opportunity to coach a lot of talented players at RCTC, including some he recruited from Texas. During his tenure, he coached 114 all-division players, 35 all-region players and 18 All- Americans. He was Region XIII Coach of the Year in 2004, 2005 and 2010.

LaPlante was an All-State High School Player from Chatfield, MN and for RCTC (Junior College, Rochester, MN)in 1997 and 1998 earning all-conference, all-state and all-region honors. Both years, the Yellowjackets were state champs and earned bowl berths.

Jodi Hawkins - District Athletic Secretary

Jodi Hawkins and her family have lived in Hutto since 2006.  She is married to John Hawkins, Hutto High School Criminal Justice teacher.  Together they have three children, Michael, Christopher and Rebekah.  They enjoy attending Friday night football games and spring baseball games.  Jodi and her husband are fans of our student athletes and encourage them to never quit trying.  Jodi and John are very involved in their church and are the Youth Sunday School Department Directors at First Baptist Church in Round Rock where they have been members for over 28 years.
