  • When completed, Gus Almquist Middle School will become Hutto ISD’s third middle school and thirteenth stand-alone campus. The school will house students in grades 6th through 8th, and relieve capacity at the District’s existing Hutto Middle School campus.

    The campus is situated on approximately 82 acres of land adjacent to Kerley Elementary at 1000 Haybarn Lane, just west of Texas 130 and south of Limmer Loop.


  • Hutto ISD’s Board of Trustees approved a construction budget of $71 million for Gus Almquist Middle School with estimated costs totaling $67,730,618.

    The new school is slated for completion May 30, 2024, with 504 days (17 months) scheduled for the duration of the project.
