Pre-K Registration 16-17

Registration for the 2017-2018 SY PK classes has not yet begun.  Decisions regarding the program are still being made.  We hope to be able to start offering early PK registration around mid-March.  Please keep an eye on both the Hutto ISD website and Hutto ISD Facebook page as this is where we will publicize the dates for early registration and programs being offered.

Online PreK registration is now open for the 2016-2017 school year.


Pre-K is for all children who will be 4-years-old on or before September 1, 2016.


Registering Your Pre-K Student:


If you are new to Hutto ISD and do not have a Family Access account please click here. You will receive an account within 48 hours. If you do not receive an email with account information, please check your junk/spam folder. If the email is not in that folder send an email to


If you already have a Family Access account and have a PreK student to register, New Student Online Registration is available as a tab in your current account.  Please log in to family access and on the right hand side you will select "Open Family Access".  On the new screen that will come up, if you do not see a link on the left hand side that says New Student Online Enrollment please please email your current student's name and campus to

Currently, the following campus/programs are full and on a wait list:

  • Ray Elementary - Full Day (please contact us for possible placement at another campus)  
  • Howard Norman Elementary - Full Day (please contact us for possible placement at another campus)
  • Veterans Hill - Full Day (please contact us for possible placement at another campus)



Your child is NOT considered enrolled in the program and ensured a space in the class until online registration is complete AND

All new students have the ability to upload certain documents such as last report card, parent driver's license, shot record, proof of residence, transcript and withdraw paperwork during the online registration process.  Any documents listed below not uploaded must be brought with you to your appointment with Ms. Smith.   At this time we are unable to accept an uploaded copy of a birth certificate or social security card.  Please do not upload either document.  Please bring the original document to Ms. Smith for enrollment. 


Please bring the following documentation with you to your appointment with Ms. Smith if they have not been uploaded to complete registration:

  1. Documentation of Student Identity (Order a Texas Birth Certificate)  certified copy of the birth certificate is required per Code of Criminal Procedures, Article 63.019.  If you are unable to produce a certified copy of the birth certificate within 30 days from enrollment, or up to 90 days from enrollment for a child not born in the United States you must provide one of the examples for over age 11 and a signed note explaining why you are unable to produce a certified copy of the birth certificate.
  2. Proof of Immunization
  3. Proof of Residence (current utility bill, current lease, or current mortgage statement)
  4. Student Social Security Card
  5. Parent/Guardian Driver’s License
  6. If applying for qualified PK, supporting documents to prove eligibility and additional PK paperwork.  Additional information on qualifying can be found by clicking here.
  7. If registering for a paid program, there is a $50 non-refundable registration fee due at the Round Up (cash (exact amount - no change available), check or charge).  You will also need to submit a voided check as part of the tuition agreement at the Round Up as monthly tuition payments are accepted through bank account auto draft only. 


 Available Pre-K Programs:


A free half-day PK program is available for children who will be 4-years-old on or before September 1, 2016 and meet at least one of the following qualifications and provide current documentation:



  • Children whose first language is not English
    • Must contact Elva Torres, to make an appointment for testing as   soon as possible or bring the child to the registration for testing
    • Complete an LPAC placement meeting
  • Children who qualify for the Free/Reduced lunch program
    • Must complete a Food Service Application for approval
  • Children of active duty military personnel
    • Department of Defense Photo ID
  • Children of military personnel who were injured or killed while serving on active duty
    • Statement of Service
    • Death certificate, Purple Heart orders or citation
    • Missing in Action
    • Line of duty determination showing wounded or injured NOT in combat
    • Copy of letter from the US Department of Veterans Affairs indicating that the service member is eligible for disability compensation
  • Children who are considered homeless
    • SRQ form
  • Children who are currently or have ever been in foster care in the state of Texas following an adversary hearing
    • Copy of letter from DFPS
    • Copy of 2085


Hutto ISD also offers a full-day paid PK program.




Tuition for Pre-K programs are as follows:


  • Half Day Qualified - FREE
  • Half Day Qualified+Half Day Paid=$275/monthly, HISD employee rate - $250/monthly
  • Full Day Paid - $425/monthly,  HISD employee rate - $400/monthly
NOTE:  There is no longer a half-day paid ONLY program (half day paid is currently only offered in conjunction with half day qualified)


Times of Instruction:


Full Day:  7:40am - 2:55pm

AM Class: 7:40am - 11:10am

PM Class: 11:25am - 2:55pm
